Ok, the Mac will probably watch YOU cook instead, but at least it will help you from burning any more toast thanks to Macgourmet.com's new app.
How I love the idea of having my laptop sitting next to me as I cook. Two of the best things: food and a Mac—what a combo. (Is it time for an Apple pie joke yet?)
When you open the app, it has the feel of a normal Mac app with everything where you think it should be. The layout reminds me of a cross between iTunes and some kind of database software. I would almost say this app is "iTunes For Your Food."
This app has a place for all your food needs: wine, notes, shopping list, and recipes. Adding an entry to any of the Lists is as simple as you would hope. The best thing about MacGourmet I could find is the Featured List. This list pulls new recipes from the MacGourmet website. I have not had a chance to try them all, but they look good and it was nice not having to hunt for them all over the web.
As you probably have guessed, this app is good for any cook, novice or gourmet.
